Basketball Recap: LBJ Austin Comes Up Short

LBJ Austin and Davenport squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but LBJ Austin had to settle for second. They were dealt an 85-21 defeat at the hands of the Davenport Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1223rd, while the Wolves are ranked 154th).

LBJ Austin's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Davenport, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season.

LBJ Austin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Davenport, they will square off against Floresville on Thursday. Floresville will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Davenport surely won't give up without a fight.
