Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Everett

Everett waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Stanwood Spartans 79-56. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Seagulls' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Spartans are ranked 242nd).

Everett's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Henry Selders, who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine rebounds. The matchup was Selders' third in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Noah Owens, who went 8-for-12 to rack up 24 points and six assists.

Everett was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They are 12-4 when they've passed the ball that well.

Everett's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Stanwood, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-15.

Everett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-40 victory against Meadowdale on the 7th. As for Stanwood, they have also already played their next contest, a 71-56 defeat against Shorecrest on the 7th.
