Gorham faced Scarborough in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Rams took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Storm. The Rams' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Gorham started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-20.

Luna Button paced Gorham's offense, picking up nine kills. Button got some help from Liana Edwards and her 29 assists. Addyson Simcock controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Gorham's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Scarborough, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Gorham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against York on the 14th. As for Scarborough, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Biddeford on the 13th.
