Ridgefield took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Trumbull, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the Eagles on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Ridgefield's record is now 10-6. As for Trumbull, they moved to 13-4 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ridgefield is set to square off against their familiar foe Darien at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 3.3, the Blue Wave 0.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Trumbull will take on rival New Canaan at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
