The Creighton Prep Junior Jays will challenge the Omaha Central Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Creighton Prep will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Creighton Prep and Papillion-LaVista meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Junior Jays walked away with a 21-10 win over the Monarchs.

Angelo Wallker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 82 yards and three touchdowns. Wallker is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season.
Creighton Prep's run defense was locked in: Papillion-LaVista could only muster 2.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Michael Novero for the heroic effort on defense: he. Creighton Prep hasn't allowed more than 2.8 yards per carry in four consecutive contests.
Creighton Prep's defense didn't let Rj Vitera, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for six sacks. Ayron Shaw refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Jordan Udofia was another major factor on D, making nine total tackles and defending four passes.
Meanwhile, Omaha Central hadn't done well against Omaha Westside recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Warriors 31-28. The win was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Warriors are ranked third).
Creighton Prep better keep an eye on B.J. Newsome. He was instrumental in Omaha Central's win, throwing for 153 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 109 yards. Those 109 rushing yards gave Newsome a new career-high.
Creighton Prep's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Omaha Central, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Creighton Prep came up short against Omaha Central when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 34-30. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Newsome, who rushed for 26 yards and three scores, and also threw for 243 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes. Now that the Junior Jays know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
