Basketball Recap: West Nassau Comes Up Short

West Nassau was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 35-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Baldwin Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 59-58 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Nyrie Gabriel was the offensive standout of the game as she dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Makaila Fry, who posted six points.

West Nassau's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Baldwin, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Nassau will take on Hilliard in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Baldwin and Palatka will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
