Soccer Recap: South Mountain Takes a Loss

South Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Goldwater Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Jaguars have lost by exactly two goals.

South Mountain now has a losing record at 2-3-1. As for Goldwater, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

South Mountain and Higley will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Mountain is facing Higley at the right time seeing as Higley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Goldwater, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Marcos de Niza at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Goldwater is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.5 goals per game this season.
