West Mesquite and Heritage squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but West Mesquite had to settle for second. They lost 72-47 to the Heritage Coyotes. The Wranglers' loss signaled the end of their 19-game winning streak.

Heritage was led to victory by Bryson Howard and Cameron Lomax. Howard dropped a double-double with 24 points and 15 boards, while Lomax went 9-for-15 en route to 24 points and four steals. Lomax has been hot for a while, having posted 16 or more points the last 18 times he's played. Roman Bradley was another key player, putting up eight points and eight rebounds.

West Mesquite's defeat dropped their record down to 29-4. As for Heritage, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 32-4.

West Mesquite does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Heritage, they will challenge Birdville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 70 points per game this season.
