Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northwood). They came out on top against the Bland County Bears by a score of 18-14 on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-11. As for Bland County, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coming up, Northwood will host Rural Retreat at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.29 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bland County, they will head out to face off against Giles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
