Basketball Recap: Saturday's Win Is St. Anthony's 16th in Last 17 Outings

If St. John's Prep wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played St. Anthony, they should've done a better job of containing Kevin Moore. The St. Anthony's Friars came out on top against the St. John's Prep Red Storm by a score of 57-47 on Saturday which was due in part to Moore, who posted 13 points in addition to six assists and five steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Connor Mannix was another key player, putting up ten points and eight boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played.

St. Anthony's has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season. The loss snapped St. John's Prep's winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 23-4 record.
