Calhoun had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Rockport-Fulton Pirates by a score of 5-2. The game was the first time the Sandcrabs have beaten the Pirates on their field since March 2, 2021.

The victory got Calhoun back to even at 12-12-1. As for Rockport-Fulton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12-1 record this season.

Calhoun will be playing at home against Martin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Sandcrabs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Rockport-Fulton, they will square off against Ingleside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
