Volleyball Recap: Mays Comes Up Short

Mays was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Midtown Knights. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-6.

Midtown can attribute much of their success to Lily Carter, who had seven assists and three aces. That's the most aces Carter has posted since back in August.

Mays' defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Midtown, their victory bumped their record up to 26-9.

Coming up, Mays will venture away from home to take on Discovery at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Midtown, they will take on Sonoraville at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
