Baseball Recap: Grantsville's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Grantsville can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Union Cougars 8-7. This was a revenge game for the Cowboys: when they faced off against the Cougars on Tuesday, they had to take a 5-2 loss.

Jordan Fawson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Grantsville is 5-1 when Fawson posts two or more runs, but 6-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Patton Rose, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

The win got Grantsville back to even at 11-11. As for Union, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 19-6.

As of now, neither Grantsville nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
