League recap: North Brunswick extends winning streak with victory over West Brunswick

2A Conference 18 recap September 24, 2013

Adding to the longest winning streak in 2A Conference 18 this week, North Brunswick beat West Brunswick 28-14,. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.

Croatan fell to Swansboro 29-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Malik Simons was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 28 carries, he ran for 131 yards as Dixon beat North Lenoir. Teammate Deangelo Williams added to the ground attack by rushing for 41 yards.

Simons was a passing and rushing force as the Bulldogs fell to Lejeune.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, North Brunswick's Randy Clark and Kevon Perkins have proven to be a lethal combination. Clark has thrown for 676 yards this season, while Perkins has 13 catches for 331 yards. Dixon's Simons leads the league in rushing yards with 766.
