Soccer Recap: Westwood Comes Up Short

Westwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mesa Jackrabbits. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Jackrabbits are ranked fourth).

Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-1. As for Mesa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westwood has already played their next contest (against Dobson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mesa has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Skyline.
