Volleyball Recap: Lakeview Takes a Loss

Lakeview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Sacred Heart Academy Sharks, falling 3-0.

Lakeview was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-22, 25-16.

Sacred Heart Academy was led to victory by Bella Spinato and JJ Kirck. Spinato had seven digs and two aces, while Kirck had 13 digs and two aces. Spinato is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 25 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Lakeview's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Sacred Heart Academy, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with the victory, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season.

Lakeview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sacred Heart Academy, they will welcome Ellington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
