It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Cistercian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Trinity Valley Trojans 7-6. For the Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 7-1 victory the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Cash Lechler was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2024. Major Beasley was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

The win got Cistercian back to even at 7-7. As for Trinity Valley, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Looking ahead, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Cistercian Hawks take on Episcopal School of Dallas Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity Valley, they will square off against Lake Country Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
