Basketball Recap: Indian Creek Skates Past St. Clairsville with Ease

It's playoff time, and Indian Creek had no trouble coming through when it counted. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the St. Clairsville Red Devils 52-9. The Redskins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 22 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Mckenna Scott, who went 7-for-11 from beyond the arc to rack up 26 points along with eight boards and six assists. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaydence Walker, who went 5-for-10 on her way to 11 points.

Indian Creek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Indian Creek is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points over those games. St. Clairsville dropped their record down to 2-20 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Indian Creek will square off against West Holmes at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. West Holmes has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. St. Clairsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
