Basketball Recap: Johnson City Piles Up the Points Against Center Point

After only 30 points in their last game, Johnson City made sure to put some points up on the board against Center Point on Tuesday. The Johnson City Eagles breezed past the Center Point Pirates to the tune of 72-23. Considering the Eagles' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Johnson City got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Collin Corpus out in front who went 6-for-12 to rack up 15 points along with seven boards and five assists. The dominant performance also gave Corpus a new career-high in steals (five). Another player making a difference was Jadyn Jenkins, who went 5-for-11 en route to 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Johnson City smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Johnson City's record is now 10-15. As for Center Point, they dropped their record down to 4-15 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Johnson City nor Center Point have any future games scheduled.
