Softball Game Preview: T.C. Roberson Rams vs. A.C. Reynolds Rockets

T.C. Roberson is 2-8 against A.C. Reynolds since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rams will welcome the Rockets at 5:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, T.C. Roberson turned things around against Asheville on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Cougars.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for A.C. Reynolds, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past Asheville 17-2 on Monday. Considering the Rockets' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Jordan Dorsey was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddy Davis, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

A.C. Reynolds was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

A.C. Reynolds pushed their record up to 8-12 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for T.C. Roberson, their win bumped their record up to 3-12.
