Softball Recap: Murphy Bulldogs vs. Swain County Maroon Devils

Murphy and Swain County squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Murphy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Maroon Devils by a score of 2-1. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Maroon Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Paisley Johnson spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on nine hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances.
