            Baseball Recap: Winfield Generals vs. Chapmanville Regional Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Winfield barely beat Chapmanville Regional the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Generals were the clear victors by  an  11-1 margin over the Tigers on Tuesday. The Generals have beaten the Tigers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

 Blake Withrow spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on one hit and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Owen Taylor and  Preston Keiffer did most of the damage at the plate:  Taylor  went 2-for-3 with three  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and one  run, while  Keiffer  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run. That's the most  RBI  Keiffer has posted  over his last 11  games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brayson Downey, who  earned two  RBI, one  run,  and two  stolen bases.
Winfield's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Chapmanville Regional,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 5-11.
 Looking ahead, Winfield will take on Nitro at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Chapmanville Regional, they will square off against Tug Valley at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
