Preview: Brandywine Bulldogs vs. First State Military Academy Bulldogs
The Brandywine Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the First State Military Academy Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Delaware (Brandywine is ranked 26th, while First State Military Academy is ranked 36th).
Brandywine had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 14-7 win over Seaford.
Kahseer Williams and Cris Wright were among the main playmakers for Brandywine as the former picked up 52 receiving yards and a touchdown and the latter rushed for 35 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, First State Military Academy earned a 27-20 win over Conrad Science two weeks ago. The victory was just what First State Military Academy needed coming off of a 34-13 defeat in their prior matchup.
Brandywine's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-5 Early College and 3-4 Seaford (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 38.9% over those games). As for First State Military Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
