Volleyball Recap: Charlotte Catholic Comes Up Short

Charlotte Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Providence Panthers. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Panthers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Charlotte Catholic was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Providence's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-23, 27-25.

Charlotte Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Providence, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Charlotte Catholic will face off against rival Ballantyne Ridge at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Providence is set to challenge their familiar foe Sun Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
