Hale Center win going away against Bovina

The Hale Center Owls''s five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They put the hurt on Bovina with a sharp 38-17 win. The score was close at the half, but Hale Center pulled away in the second half with 23 points.
When it comes to explaining why Bovina lost, one person who can't be blamed is Daniel Herrera. Despite the final result, he rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns.
Hale Center's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Bovina, their loss was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hale Center will take on Lockney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lockney knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Hale Center likes a good challenge. As for Bovina, they will be playing at home against Sudan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
