Softball Game Preview: Wrightstown Tigers vs. Oconto Falls Panthers

The Wrightstown Tigers will face off against the Oconto Falls Panthers at 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Wrightstown managed to slip by Luxemburg-Casco the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers lost 13-5 to the Spartans on Friday.

Layla Beyer made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Bowker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Oconto Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Waupaca, falling 13-7.

Amelia Danielczak was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Izzy Otto, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Wrightstown's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Oconto Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Everything went Wrightstown's way against Oconto Falls in their previous meeting back in April, as Wrightstown made off with a 16-0 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
