Greenwood Christian had lost four games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 3-7 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Laurens Academy Crusaders, sneaking past 20-19. The Hawks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Laurens Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by just one run.

For Laurens Academy's part, they got a massive performance out of Sophia Harvey, who went 5-for-6 with four runs and five RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylee Burke, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Greenwood Christian will challenge King Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Laurens Academy, they will face off against Northside Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northside Christian Academy will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
