Softball Recap: Desert Christian Academy Victorious

Desert Christian Academy proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 11) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions, sneaking past 21-19.

Desert Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Savannah Hunt, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances. With that strong performance, Hunt is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game. Another player making a difference was Phoebe Thorpe, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Desert Christian Academy now has a winning record of 6-5. As for San Jacinto Leadership Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Desert Christian Academy beat the Lions by a score of 17-5 on Wednesday.
