Softball Game Preview: Pleasant Ridge Rams vs. Atchison County Tigers

The Pleasant Ridge Rams are taking a road trip to challenge the Atchison County Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Pleasant Ridge and 24 for Atchison County dating back to last season.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Pleasant Ridge's offense. They lost 13-0 to Onaga on Thursday. Surprisingly, this marked the Rams' sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Meanwhile, Atchison County came up short against Jackson Heights on Thursday, falling 11-1.

Atchison County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madisen Mount, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Another was Mackenzie Scholz, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Atchison County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Pleasant Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Everything went Pleasant Ridge's way against Atchison County in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Pleasant Ridge made off with an 18-3 victory. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
