Baseball Game Preview: King Wolves vs. Norco Cougars

The King Wolves will take on the Norco Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

King fell victim to Rancho Verde and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.

Alfonso Garcia was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over six innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February.

On Thursday fans watched as two of the best teams in the nation hit the field. Norco lost 8-1 to Centennial. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

King dropped their record down to 7-8 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Norco, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
