Baseball Recap: Foard Takes a Loss

Foard lost against East Lincoln last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Foard lost 16-5 to East Lincoln. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aiden Vogel was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Conner Leska was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Foard's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for East Lincoln, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Foard will host Hickory at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Foard is facing Hickory at the right time seeing as Hickory is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for East Lincoln, they will square off against North Iredell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Iredell will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something East Lincoln surely won't give up without a fight.
