Baseball Recap: St. James Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

St. James and White Knoll squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but St. James had to settle for second. They lost 10-3 to the Timberwolves. The Sharks' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

St. James got a good showing from Jacob Herrick, who pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Herrick has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jeter Centracchio made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Kessler, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

St. James' defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for White Knoll, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-20.

As of now, neither St. James nor the Timberwolves have any future games scheduled.
