Basketball Recap: Scott County Central Comes Up Short

Scott County Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 54-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sikeston Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Braves of the 80-68 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Scott County Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Sikeston, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scott County Central will welcome East Prairie at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st. As for Sikeston, they will be playing at home against Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
