Soccer Game Preview: Winona vs. Independence

Winona is a perfect 5-0 against Independence since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Winona will be strutting in after a victory while Independence will be coming in after a defeat.

Winona is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Kemper County get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Friday. Winona haven't had any issues with Kemper County recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Independence faced off against Winona back in November. The Wildcats lost 4-0 to the Tigers. Independence haven't had much luck with Winona recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Winona now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for Independence, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything went Winona's way against Independence in their previous matchup back in November, as Winona made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
