Softball Game Preview: Language & Tech vs. Hamer

Language & Tech will head out on the road to face off against Hamer at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Language & Tech has given up an average of 18.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Language & Tech is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Morrisania on Thursday. Language & Tech came out on top against Morrisania by a score of 14-11. The game was the first time Language & Tech has beaten Morrisania on their field since April 21, 2016.

Meanwhile, Hamer hadn't done well against Bronx Leadership Academy recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Hamer blew past Bronx Leadership Academy 10-3. Considering Hamer has won four matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for Hamer, bringing their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Language & Tech, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Language & Tech suffered a grim 27-5 defeat to Hamer in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Language & Tech avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
