Carlisle dropped their record down to 12-9 on Monday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins. They fell 6-2 to the Cincinnati Country Day Nighthawks. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to the Nighthawks from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

As for Cincinnati Country Day, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games.

For Cincinnati Country Day's part, Casey Newman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Elijah Guttman, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Patrick Ramage also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Carlisle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cincinnati Country Day, they will take on St. Bernard-Elmwood Place at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Nighthawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
