Basketball Recap: Wamogo Regional Warriors vs. Housatonic Mountaineers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Somers, the Wamogo Regional Warriors were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 62-51 victory over Housatonic. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Wamogo Regional also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Wamogo Regional got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Turtoro out in front who scored ten points along with six assists and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Delello, who scored 15 points along with seven assists.
Wamogo Regional is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Housatonic, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Wamogo Regional will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st. One thing working in Litchfield's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests. Housatonic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
