Basketball Recap: Cassopolis Piles Up the Points Against Bloomingdale

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cassopolis). They blew past the Bloomingdale Cardinals 72-40 on Tuesday. The Rangers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 23 points or more this season.

Cassopolis found their leader in sophomore Lucas Williams, who posted 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals. The dominant performance gave Williams a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Aarenn Buck-Hooper, who put up ten points and five rebounds.

The win (which was Cassopolis' third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.3 points. As for Bloomingdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cassopolis and Comstock will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bloomingdale, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Bloomingdale Cardinals duke it out with the Marcellus Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
