Volleyball Recap: Fort Zumwalt West's Winning Streak Snapped at 20 Games

It was a good run, but Fort Zumwalt West unfortunately witnessed the end of their 20-match winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the St. Louis Christian HomeSchool Patriots by a score of 3-2. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Fort Zumwalt West actually scored more points across those five sets (107-104), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-23, 15-25, 25-18, 18-16.

When it comes to explaining why Fort Zumwalt West lost, don't look at Audrey Lashbrook. Despite the final result, she had 38 digs and two aces. Lashbrook is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 16 games she's played.

Fort Zumwalt West's defeat dropped their record down to 21-4. As for St. Louis Christian HomeSchool, their record is now 9-12-4.

Looking ahead, Fort Zumwalt West will face off against Howell Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Louis Christian HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
