Softball Game Preview: Cascade Christian Cougars vs. Seattle Christian Warriors

The Cascade Christian Cougars will face off against the Seattle Christian Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

On Wednesday, Cascade Christian earned a 10-5 win over Chimacum. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Cowboys recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Seattle Christian made easy work of Vashon Island on Wednesday and carried off an 18-1 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

Izzy Blase made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Jessica Knight was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kenzy Hunt, who went 4-for-5 with three runs and three RBI.

Seattle Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cascade Christian, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6.

Cascade Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Seattle Christian in their previous meeting last Tuesday, winning 7-4. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
