Basketball Game Preview: Eastside Eagles vs. Walnut Grove Warriors

Eastside is 2-7 against Walnut Grove since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eastside Eagles will face off against the Walnut Grove Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Eastside turned things around against Wheeler on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Wildcats out 46-44.

Meanwhile, Walnut Grove didn't have too much trouble with Jasper County on Friday as they won 52-36.

Eastside's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Walnut Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Eastside lost to Walnut Grove on the road by a decisive 64-46 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. Can Eastside avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
