Volleyball Recap: Rogers Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Block Island last Thursday, Rogers came back down to earth. The Vikings came up short against the Providence Country Day Knights on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Rogers was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Providence Country Day's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 25-22.

Sosefina Lui paced Rogers' offense, picking up six kills. Lui got some help from Alana Finn and her 12 assists. Lui was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Rogers' defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Providence Country Day, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Rogers will venture away from home to square off against St. Raphael Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Providence Country Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
