The Wasco Tigers will head out to take on the Monache Marauders at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Wasco is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Delano 21-0 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Wasco, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Brailyn Orozco and Emma Gomez did most of the damage at the plate: Orozco went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one double, and one RBI, while Gomez went 1-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four runs gave Orozco a new career-high. Evanee Pergis also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Wasco always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Monache came out on top against Central East last Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Marauders walked away with an 8-3 win over the Bengals.
Sophia Martinez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Aaliyah Mosqueda was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Devynn Emerson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Monache is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Wasco, their record now sits at 10-6.
Monache's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Wasco has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .485. It's a different story for Monache, though, as they've only averaged .349. Will they be able to contain Wasco's hitters?
Wasco couldn't quite finish off Monache in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 and fell 2-0. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
