Baseball Recap: Lewiston-Porter Falls to Kenmore East in First Game of Season

Lewiston-Porter unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Kenmore East Bulldogs by a score of 4-2 on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Lewiston-Porter saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colin Cosgrove, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Kenmore East and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lewiston-Porter will take on rival Grand Island at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Kenmore East is set to challenge their familiar foe Lockport at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
