Softball Recap: Sevier County Takes a Loss

Sevier County came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Jefferson County Patriots by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Riley Mae Burrell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one double.

Sevier County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Jefferson County, they moved to 14-18-1 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Sevier County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jefferson County, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Morristown-Hamblen West on the 7th.
