Basketball Recap: Sherwood Extends Winning Streak to Four

Sherwood entered their tilt with Poolesville on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Poolesville Falcons by a score of 41-31. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

Sherwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shannon Farr led the charge by putting up 15 points and four steals. Those four steals gave Farr a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Avery Graham, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 18 boards.

Sherwood pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.5 points per game. As for Poolesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Sherwood and Blake will face off at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Poolesville has already played their next game (against Churchill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
