Basketball Recap: West Vigo Finds Playoff Glory Versus Eastern Greene

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but West Vigo had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They managed a 42-36 victory over the Eastern Greene Thunderbirds.

West Vigo found their leader in sophomore Lydia Jones, who went 6 for 15 en route to 21 points and eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Bayli Vester, who posted five points.

West Vigo's win bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Eastern Greene, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

West Vigo will challenge North Knox at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in North Knox's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. Eastern Greene does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
