Volleyball Recap: CHAMPS Comes Up Short

CHAMPS was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Bert Corona Charter Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

While CHAMPS ultimately came up short, they really made Bert Corona Charter work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-11, 25-13, 25-13.

CHAMPS' loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Bert Corona Charter, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

CHAMPS does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bert Corona Charter, they will challenge Triumph Charter at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
