Basketball Recap: Belton-Honea Path Bears vs. Walhalla Razorbacks

Belton-Honea Path lost against Walhalla back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Belton-Honea Path Bears were dealt an 85-20 loss at the hands of the Walhalla Razorbacks. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Razorbacks are ranked 31st).

Kami Roach was her usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-7 from downtown and almost dropping a double-double on 22 points and nine steals for Walhalla. That's the most steals Roach has posted since back in January of 2024. Annie Campbell was another key player, putting up ten points and six steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Belton-Honea Path and nudges their season record down to 2-10. As for Walhalla, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 18-3.

As for Walhalla, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Crescent at 6:00 p.m. Walhalla also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 56.3 points per game.
