Lake City faced Coeur d'Alene in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Timberwolves came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 7-4. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 22nd, but that streak is no more.

Kyle Johnson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 6.2 innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Travis Usdrowski was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jack Pierce, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Lake City's record is now 13-8. As for Coeur d'Alene, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-4.

As of now, neither Lake City nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
